Family Law Experience
Sara Arnold is the Principal of Arnold Hills and holds a Master of Applied Law (Family Law) from the College of Law.
Prior to establishing Arnold Hills, Sara practised for several years at a specialist family law firm in Sydney, advising and representing clients in complex parenting and property matters. During that time, she regularly appeared before the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and instructed senior family law barristers in contested parenting and complex property proceedings.
Sara is also a collaboratively trained family lawyer who assists clients in resolving disputes through collaborative practice. This approach emphasises constructive negotiation and carefully considered outcomes, with the aim of reaching an agreement without contested court proceedings.
For Sara, the most rewarding aspect of practising family law is guiding clients through complex and uncertain circumstances towards clarity, stability and greater peace of mind.
Technology & Business Law Experience
Sara’s broader legal experience includes several years as Head of Legal at a global software company. In that role she negotiated complex cross border commercial agreements and advised on strategic transactions, SaaS and other licensing arrangements, technology development and collaboration arrangements, intellectual property, privacy and data compliance, GDPR requirements, TISAX and broader regulatory matters.
Sara’s commercial background also complements her family law practice, providing valuable insight where personal and commercial interests intersect. This experience enables her to advise business owners and clients with complex business interests, structures and significant assets.
Life Outside of Law
Sara loves being a mum and spending time with her husband and their children. She can often be found cheering on her children from the sidelines at their sporting activities or discovering new restaurants and sharing good food with her husband, their family and friends.
